Coursework during my undergraduate and graduate career have helped me to develop and enhance the different skills and theories of counseling. My internship with TRiO McNair has allowed me to expand upon this area as I met with students for progress meetings and graduate school preparation meetings. In this position I helped students navigate various personal, professional, and academic situations. As an office assistant at Medaille College in the TRiO SSS program, I have completed individual graduation plans with students. These plans are used to advise students each semester on their academic and personal goals. Continuing these appointments with students will help me to develop more in this competency area.
