Assessment, Evaluation, and Research

Currently, my competency in this area is not yet meeting the foundational outcomes. Past experiences in my work as a graduate student have not yet allowed me to develop proficiency in this area. However, my experiences as an office assistant for the TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program at Medaille College has allowed me to work heavily with confidential student data. In this way I have the knowledge of how to navigate the handling of data that is sensitive. My development of outcomes in this area has improved greatly upon taking Student Assessment: Tests and Measurement and the completion of a research project on first generation college students and their perceptions of financial literacy support which included hosting various focus groups.
