Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.

My biggest motivation to become a student affairs educator comes from my own struggles that I faced as a college student. As I faced these struggles the one constant in my life was the unwavering support and guidance from the student success advocates from the Medaille College TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program. It was this support that made me want to be the same guidance to help students. As my journey at Medaille progressed, I began participating more with the TRiO SSS program and started to mentor groups of freshman student. My participation with the program really helped to kick start my passion for helping others. Like a puzzle the pieces started to fit together and I found my calling. In 2014 I stepped closer to my goals and graduated from Medaille College with a Bacholor's of Art in Psychology.

Currently, I am a graduate student at the State University of New York College at Buffalo (Buffalo State) in the Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration program. In the Spring of 2016 I interned at the University at Buffalo in the TRiO McNair Scholars program where I advised and supported students who are working towards pursuing graduate and doctoral programs. I also work as an office assistant at Medaille College for the TRiO SSS program where I work with low income and first generation college students.
